I also had this issue and talked to Sims Freeplay Support about it. They said they were working on fixing the issue and offered to pay me back what I had payed for the house, which I declined because it wasn't about the money for me. I had only bought the house for the furniture.
If you're looking for financial compensation, I would take it up with them. Otherwise, we'll just have to wait and see if the issue gets fixed.
