wont let me play sims 3

it wont let me play my sims 3 base game i have the sims 3 and unervristy life.

but whean i put in my sims three base game it wont let me play it it will say put in unervisty life to play. 

but my copy of unrvisty life is lost help me get back to playing thanks,

if your university game is registired in origin you can download the digital version of your game from there but first you have to uninstall the disk version via control panel then do a search to manually uninstally any left over files and registry keys also go to your electronics art/thesims3/saves make a copy of your saved games the desktop will do as sometimes saves can go missing
