@yhlit @mknowles07 @alphil15 @wjb1992
I've merged all the threads into one, no point in having multiple threads on the same thing.
If you could all provide your operating system details, whether you're opted into the beta Origin program, and confirm the date and time is correct on your computers that would be really helpful.
@rumbutter FYI

Thanks
Which version of OS X are you using?
You can check if you've participating in the beta program in Origin by clicking on Origin in the menu bar then Preferences. In the General tab scroll down to the bottom to beta participation.
Let's see what the others who are affected come back with too. We need more info from others to compare and see if there's a common factor.

Hello together,
I'm sure the problem is related with Origin. Because I play Sims on Yosemite with the penultimate version of Origin, there are no problems.
At the same time I play it on the latest Windows Pro 64 version with the newest Origin and there are some problems.
Sims 4 crashing often or freezes etc and my rig is a powerful Alienware machine
To all Sims Mac Players:
Complete reinstallation of orgin brought no success!?
Do you have the purgecommand used to clean the RAM!?
Cheers

Are you all on Macs? Anyone having this problem in Windows?
Did you originally purchase, not install, University Life from a physical disc or from Origin?
Have you tried resetting Origin using EA's helper tool? Or cleanly uninstalling and reinstalling it?

For Windows Customers & Players, I would have another tip.
Uninstall Origin and uses the Windows own tool for an old data cleanup
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-c...
You can be sure, that really old files are deleted.
Afterwards shutdown your machine , wait few minutes and restart your mchine again
Install Origin, set your settings
Disable origin in-game before
If you use programs like TeamViewer, MS Defender etc.
Please turned off this in the background, they often interfere with the process.
Start the Sims 3 Download.
