My game was Lagging and getting a bit buggy, so I thought I would uninstall & restall it. after installing the base game, as I just bought Sims university and island whatever. it installed, but it says sims3 launcher has stopped working. I did check my Norton antivirus quarrentine files, nothing sims 3 related there. I'm running windows 7. And I can install any expansions, as it says an update is needed, but I cant update without launcher. I did try http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/188505.page to see if any of these updates might help, but no.
so... how can I fix this?
