sims 3 product code worked but didn't download

★ Novice

I recently bought the sims 3 into the future limited edition expansion pack. I entered the product code into sims3.com through my phone and it seemed to work since it told me where to find the limited edition extra content. Today I went on my computer and I was able to download the extra content, but it was as if I never bought the expansion. It wasn't on origin or the sims 3 website or on the sims 3 launcher. To be specific, it gave me the option to buy into the future on origin and on the sims 3 website, where it shows my owned expansions, into the future isn't there. I bought the expansion from the store(walmart), not a digital code or anything like that. My mistake could've been I entered the code with my phone first, but I tried to reenter the code in my computer and it said I already used the code, making it invalid.

Something like this also happened before with the expansion world adventures. I downloaded it with the CD, the code worked, and it downloaded with the CD. But then it didn't show up on the sims 3 launcher, origin, and the sims 3 website. Again, it was as if I never bought the expansion. I tried entering the code into sims3.com and then origin but they both said I already used the code, making it invalid. I could only use the world adventures expansion if I had the disk in.

If any of this can be fixed, please let me know.

@BlueTardisGirl81  For ITF, try clearing Origin's cache and then restarting your computer.  If that doesn't help, you can uninstall and reinstall Origin only (the hard way), which wouldn't affect your installed games.

If ITF still doesn't show up, you'll need to contact EA customer support so that someone on that end can look up your product code.  These codes can get "lost," and you might need a new one.  Be sure to have proof of purchase and ownership—in your case, photos of the disc, case, insert with the code printed on the back; a receipt would also be helpful—on hand for the chat.

While you're chatting with support, you could also ask for help with your old World Adventures code as well.  The same proof of ownership would be useful, although it's somewhat less likely that they'll be able to help after so long.  But you can always try.

I don't work for EA. I'm just trying to help fellow players with their games.
