I cannot open Origin on my laptop, It says its been downloaded. I have windows 8 ,does that make a difference? all I want to do is install sims 3 but it will not work. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you getting any error messages ? DId you download the latest version of Origin from the web ? Do you have admin rights on your computer ?

No error messages. I try to download the update but it will not complete, or it completes within five seconds and nothing happens.
I am not sure if I have admin rights, how do I know ?
