I understand the purpose of the .dcb and .ebc files but why are the files duplicating themselves by creating .tmp everytime content is added or removed. The file size of the .tmp file is the same and if I remove the .tmp files the new content I added or removed is where it should (or shouldn't) be. Yesterday I removed 3 Gigs of temp files. These files are bloating and taking space on the drive. I also tested by removing the original .dbc/.ebc files and renaming the .tmp files and everything was fine.
I have been all over the official forums etc. and there is a lot of chatter about why these .tmp files are being created and a lot of complaining, especially by users with limited disc space, as to why these files are being created. Could you explain please. I'd like to hear something official.
By the way...Island Paradise is the BEST yet. What an awesome job you guys did. And, Patch 1.55 (other than those .tmp files) was the least problematic ever and I use mods and 3rd party CC as well as store content. Congrats on a job well done!
Thank you
