Why my Sims 3 gets frozen/stops since I updated it for seasons

★★★★★ Newbie

The thing is since I updated my sims 3 game for seasons, it gets frozen every minute (1h in the game), and I don't know why.

I tried to quit some mods, from a created file called 'Mods', because I thought they weren't updated, but it doesn't work, and the best thing is it never happened to me, it's the first time and I don't know what to do... Frown

Hero

Take out all mods and only put the updated ones back.

Try resetting all your sims in your town with the cheat resetsim *

I assume you have reset your sims using resetsim *

and you have looked around for stuck cars and things. There is a checklist on mod the sims that helps with freezes.

http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Intermittent_Freezes

Mine freezes now and again for no reason. I go through this pattern from simple things, to hard things.

Make the sims lifespans short. Kill a few off imo, the deadwood. They have too many memories.

Then I delete some CC, see if that works.

Then I add the "no memories" mod, or turn them off.

If that doesn't work, I clear the cashe. Back up your stuff first.

Then I remove the DBC files.

I deleted this:

.Sims3Pack Format Content

Content installed in Sims3pack format using the Launcher can be found in:

Windows XP: My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache\
Windows Vista/7 & Mac: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCCache\

Any files inside ending in .dbc ("DBC File" in the "Type" column)
