Why did sims 3's graphics get terrible after i downloaded sims 4?

Like wtf, my gameplay in the sims 3 has got more pixely, and with that it has got more laggy. And my computer is completely new.

@jrobinson2004  Check your TS3 in-game options.  If you installed new drivers for your graphics card, that may have reset your options.ini file, which would in turn undo all of your custom settings.

I don't know how Origin could cause this issue, much less TS4, but you could always try playing in offline mode to see if something is getting in the way of your playing.

The driver update itself could be problematic.  If you post your dxdiag here, someone with much more knowledge than me can read it and tell you if you have any issues in that department, or whether there's something else going on with your graphics card.
