Hiii mileyhappy: I've been playing Sims 3 since 2011. It always worked perfect and I love it!! But I have 6 expansions, so it got a little slow... I decided to delete it all, everything. But... I couldn't install it again. And I don't understand why, because it always worked fine. Apparently I can't open a .objectcache file... I've never heard of this before. Do you guys know what it is and what I have to do? I've tried every forum and tried to contact EA, but no result... (ANDD, sorry I'm Dutch...mileytongue xx

Download the Origin client here: http://origin.com/download
Login and you should find the game in MyGames to download.
If it's not already there, there should be an option to register the game somewhere.

It says:
File: F:\Caches\Sunset Valley.objectCache
I have to choose between: opnieuw(retry) and annuleren(cancel)
By clicking retry it keeps loading till +/- 95% and than quits.

Are you installing from disc or download ? If it's disc, does it have any scratches ?
See if this link helps you: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/03/error-cyclic-redundancy-check.html

It's a disc. It has a few scratches. But not much.
I'll try! Thank you!
If the scratches are the problem, what can I do?

One option in your link is: Download a copy of the game through the Origin and install that. You don’t need to rebuy the game, just enter the serial code of the DVD Version
But where do I enter my code? Because I can only buy it for the full price. There is no option to enter my code. Maybe I did it wrong: I went to origin.com and searched for Sims 3 and clicked download. And then I had to fill in all my personal data but not my serial code. Do you maybe have a link for that, sorry haha

Hello !
I'm kind of late but I have a problem that is sort of the same. When I want to download the sims 3, there is a pop up that say e:\Caches\Sunset Vallet.objectCache and when I click "Recommencer" (retry) it show up again sometimes and than it freeze around 90%. I try to register the game in Origin, like you said, but it tell me that the serial code is already used / used by someone else (it dosen't say it when i do it with the disc) what should I do ?
P.S : I install it and maybe 4-5 extension packs and uninstall them all.
Thank you in advance, Sonia.
