I've been having this issue,after you hit play from launcher, launcher closes and nothing.

 

I found my problem, I uninstalled BitDefender Total Security, and then the Game worked. 

now I have to find out which part of BitDefender did it, it worked with Sims3 until I had to refresh Win8....

This thread has so many different issues, it's best you describe in more detail what issue you are seeing.

 

Maybe even make your own thread and post all relevant info there
