The Sims 3 Launcher

I have just been given the sims 3 into the future as a birthday present. However when I went to install the disc a pop up said that I had to update the sims 3 before I could install the new disc.

I have complete the updates required on the sims 3 and the origin updates. But now when I try to work ANY disc, it says 'sims three launcher not working'.

I have tried a few things that people have suggested on other websites but to no prevail.

Any ideas?

Is your computer a pc or mac? Did you try the super patch?

Ive got a PC

And yeah I did try that but It didn't do anything :/
