So, after uninstalling then reinstalling my Sims 3 game, I needed to reinstall my Store content . But when I tried to install it I get the following message:
"*Item*: Installation failed: Please make sure your game has the latest Software Updates and try again."
My game is patched to 1.57, I know there is a Store Content update due, too, as I was told when I installed it. But I have refreshed the Game Updates page SEVERAL times yet, there is no updates available..I'm at my last straw now, I need my store content to play my save game in Lunar Lakes... How can I solve this? mileymad:

Thank you for your reply. I have found a solution to this, and it seems like I should have done this first, it is dumb I did not. It turned as I had downloaded a 'bad' version from my purchase history and all I had to do was re-download it mileylol: . After re-downloading it a couple of times for each item, it has since worked and installed correctly. Thank you for your reply, though.

You can check if you have the latest store content udpate this way:
Go to this folder: documents\electronicarts\theims3\contentpatch and find a file called contentpatch.package. It should be around 7.78 MB in size.
There's a log which can be found in documents/electronicarts/thesims3 and is called Sims3LauncherLogFile.log
Post the content here

when i download content from the website it doesnt go into my downloads folder in open straight into the launcher. Im guessing my content must be "bad" too. What browser did you use?

another method that might work is you got to the users folder in your c:/ drive click on the folder named after yourself or your computer and open your documents folder, locate the folder labeled electronic arts and open the folder names the sims 3. after opening find the folder named dccache. select everything inside folder and safely cut and paste into a folder on your desktop. so that the folder is empty. reinstall all content that did not install only don't reinstall content already installed because it could mess it up again or not work at all. once instalation completes assuming everything installed correctly then you just cut and paste all the items you removed from folder before reinstalling. while i can not guarantee this will work it is something you can try because i have done this before and it worked. also check your content folder in same folder to make sure the store content patches are installed. if they are missing you will have to reinstall them with out those updates or patches your dlc will not install. i hope you find a way to get this issue resolved. also i do not work for ea nor am i affiliated with ea in any way except that i'm a customer just like you.

@Chevybaby1991 Can you please describe what exactly isn't working? And also what you've tried so far? This thread is pretty old, and troubleshooting has changed a bit since the original post.
