Sims 3 unhanded page fault on read access to 0x00000054 at address 0c0072917f

Hi, i recently started to play Sims 3 again.  Its been working fine until i tried to play earlier and it wouldn't load up.  I eventually managed to get it to load up and whenever i tried to play a household it would pop up with "unhanded page fault on read access to 0x00000054 at address 0c0072917f -No - Yes"  no matter what i clicked it would crash and do the same every time.  I don't have any custom content or anything, only a few expanction packs.  Please help!!
