Sims 3 taking to long to load

I recently downloaded some items from TSR (The Sims Resource) and I can get into my launcher its just when I press play it takes FOREVER TO LOAD its just a black screen with that blue spinning circle of death!!! PLEASE HELP ME !! ASAP

Custom content and mods can crash your game. Please deactivate the custom content you downloaded and try it again.
