Sims 3 multiple problems

After following an official Sims forum FAQ for the "service initialization failed 0x0175d824" issue, I am now finding I cannot open my game at all. There was an error that only allowed me to click "OK" or "cancel" (I figured it would shut the window anyway after I clicked "cancel" so I clicked "OK") and now my game will not open. Even my Origin account has taken away the option to click "play".

Can anyone tell me how to get my game running again?

My anti-virus is up to date and the computer is more than capable to run Sims 3. It's a dedicated gaming computer and I was playing Sims for several weeks before I had issues.

I play on the lowest graphics usually but before it stopped working it was lagging a lot.

When starting the game I get the error message: "Unable to start game. Service initialization failed (some number)".
