Sims 3 Pets Limited Edition Content

We just bought Sims 3 Pets with the Limited Edition Content.  We registered our game in the game on the main screen.  The content never appeared in our item history.  We received the atomic age themed items and typed in the code for the pet shop and other limited edition content. It said our code was valid and that it might take several minutes for it to appear in our purchase history. We waited a whole day, then checked our history, and the content was not there. The paper with the code said it doesn't expire until October. Is there something else we need to do before it will be in our purchase history?
