Sims 3 EA downloaded content not staying installed.

I have up to The Sims 3 generations expansion pack installed on my PC. I have successfully bought and installed items from the sims 3 site in the past. For about a month now I have been unable to install any of the items I bought. I go through the motions of installing the packs as usual, the window pops up saying the items were successfully installed. They even show up on the loader, in the "installed content" tab. When i enter the game, the items are no where to be found. I close the game and open the loader again, only to find the items are no longer in the installed content tab as they were prior to me opening the game. I assume the downloads are just not staying installed for some reason. I have tried everything to get them to work. I even completely uninstalled the game and all of the expansions, then tediously reinstalled each one. I am up to date on all of the patches that EA has put out. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this irritating problem, I would be extremely grateful for any help. Thank you, Jaine.

Wow that worked! I was beginning to worry that they would never work again. Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

 I have done what you recommend and the items still will not stay installed.

some of my items when i start the launcher show up as not installed even though they are start your game make sure your logged in go to the ... open the download dashboard if the items are there with a tick beside then they are installed if an item is not installed it wil say install now click it and the dashboard will do the rest
