Seems I cant start a new family with pets without the game crashing.

Any time I create a family and include a pet in that family I can choose a house to move them into, purchase the house, however, the game crashes before they household is fully loaded.

I have tried creating mutiple familes. One female only, one male only, one with male and female and one with male, female and pet. Only the family with the pet has the issue of crashing the game. Is there a fix to this problem?

Suggestion, make a pet store.
