I bought some items from the Sims 3 Store and one worked fine, I was able to download it with no problems and it works on my game. But the other item won't even download to my launcher. I takes ages to come up and then only shows this message: "There was an error while downloading content. Please see the log for more details." (I have no idea what log this is either?) It recognises that it's been purchased but I'm finding it really annoying that I've paid for something I can't use. Please can anyone help me?

What patch level are you at ?
To find out, start the launcher and hover over the little base game icon in the lower left corner. It should be 1.36. Base Game Patch level is important.
Have you tried downloading through the ingame store ?

The log can be found in documents/electronicarts/thesims3 and is called Sims3LauncherLogFile.log
Is it the bigger sets that don't work ?

No I haven't bought a set just a peice from the set. It's the Frosty Ice Cream Machine. Shame cos I was looking forward to having endless ice cream fun!

It's happened to me a second time now with another item. Premium content stuff I've noticed.

Thanks for the tip I've just updated my base game which was at 1.26 before the update. My problem is solved! Everything downloaded absolutely fine, thank you ever so much for your help!
Must remember to UPDATE MY GAMES! :D
