License limit reached?

★★ Novice

I recently bought 3 expansion packs for The Sims 3 (Island Paradise, Seasons, University. I don't know if It matters but Seasons wouldn't download because of a "DLC" (?) problem, whatever that means.) I downloaded IP and University, went to go play them, and an EA thing popped up saying the License Limit had been reached and I needed to contact EA Customer Support. I've checked many other forums, and apparently EA has not helped at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled* the base game (Plain old Sims 3) and the game was still unplayable. I believe it also said I had it on too many computers, but I only have Sims on THIS laptop. (Toshiba Windows 8 if it matters.) How can I fix this? I don't like feeling like I wasted $54 on new games I can't even play with the makers of it not helping anyone.

*While trying to redownload the base game (Sims 3) I had a lot of trouble. It reached about 20% probably...3 times? I use Fairpoint internet which is awful and continuously goes off during the day. Anyways, after a few tries of downloading it, it passes the 20% mark. Then stopped at 40% and went back down to 17%. Then it reached 68%. Once it hit 90%, it went back down to 68%, probably twice. FINALLY, it downloaded. I went through the regular process of installing it and it seemed to have run smoothly. I updated the game 3 times and now it's at the 1.55 version or whatever the newest one is.

you will have to contact CS for that one

They can be found here: https://help.ea.com/contact-us Choose a category, a game and a platform for the contact options to show up. If live chat is gray, change your country to US and make sure you're on US Business hours. It might also gray because they're very busy. Try later. See this post if you have trouble with the site: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2012/10/how-to-contact-ea.html

do you have BitDefender ? as that is know to cause conflicts with the sims 3 temporarily disable it

155 is the newest patch so thats good

origin download  reseting

try this

Launch Origin and log in with your account

- Click Origin in the top left (main menu)

- Select Application Settings

I don't have BitDefender, but my computer has been having some trouble lately. I can't open any apps besides ones that are on my desktop (Origin and The Sims 3 games are all on my desktop and open properly) and I can't figure out how to fix it so MAYBE it has something to do with that. I tried the live chat thing but the wait time is usually 45 minutes or so and I don't want to wait that long when on most other forums I've checked they just tell you to uninstall and reinstall which I have done already so I'd just be wasting my time. I'll keep you posted if I figure anything out, thank you!
