Launcher Issues

★ Novice

Since this issue, I have uninstalled my game completely twice and have no custom content on it right now. I attempted to download store content into my game, but when I press install, it will show the small download box for a few seconds then crash. When I try to play the game, it will show the loading screen for a few seconds and crash to nothing as well. I have never had this issue with the game. I have tried everything in every help box and even contacted EA.

Re: Launcher Issues

@purplegrooven  When you uninstalled, did you also delete the TS3 game folder from Documents?  If not, it's a good idea to move this folder onto your desktop for now.  When you launch the game again (if it launches), a clean one will spawn with no content.  Try downloading into this folder instead, and try using Firefox rather than Chrome or Edge.

Also, clear all of your browser caches, including the one for Internet Explorer.  Even if you never use it, the launcher and store do for some purposes.  Be sure to uncheck the box to preserve data for favorites.

clear IE cache:  https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=15141

If none of this helps, please check your antivirus/firewall to make sure it's not blocking your game and downloads.  A number of popular apps are not compatible with EA/Origin processes.  You can add an exception for TS3, or just temporarily disable the tool to test whether it's causing your issues.

If you're still stuck, please run a dxdiag and attach the results here (use the Browse button).  Please also list the packs you have installed.

★★★ Newbie
I'm having the same issue and have done all of this. I contacted them and was told this is an issue they are having that is due to the current black friday sale. All people trying to buy the expansions for the $4.99 price should be able to buy them soon and if not the sale price will be honored to those who have contacted support to have a record of them trying to buy it.

Hi there, thank you for replying. Deleting the TS3 folder worked and the game and download box worked. Thank you. I will reply to this thread if there is any other issues that may arise.
