Late Night EP lagging and freezing

I just got the Sims 3 "Late Night" EP and it started out OK but then it started to lag and freeze to the point where it was almost unplayable. I have a lot of the other ep's but they never gave me this much of a proablem. What should I do? Have you even had this problem?

Which town are you playing ? Bridgeport has some very serious routing issues where sims love to get stuck.
