[Information] Not Able to Download Pre-ordered Seasons From Origin

Hi everyone and thank you for your patience in this matter!

 

Please note that it is imperative that you redeem all pre-order and bonus content codes on The Sims 3 website, and not the Origin client. Codes that are redeemed outside of The Sims 3 website may not correctly entitle you with the proper content.

 

Find more information about how to redeem your code correctly in the next post in this thread.

 

 

If you are still not able to download your pre-ordered Seasons Expansion from Origin, please get in contact with an EA Game Advisor.

Make sure that you have your receipt from Origin (you received that as an email) and your payment information (how did you pay? ideally: bank or creditcard statement) at hand when you contact the EA Game Advisor.

 

My advice is: Choose phone as a contact option. This is the fastest and easiest way to sort things out.

 

This is how you get in contact with an EA Game Advisor:

 

1. Go to: https://help.ea.com

 

2. Log in with your Origin ID. You can see if you are logged in at the right-hand side at the top of the page:

3. Make sure that you choose your country. You can do that at the bottom of the page:

4. Choose "Product", "Category", and "Platform" to see the contact options - in this case choose "The Sims 3 - Seasons", "Billing / Purchasing", and "PC" :

After that you will see the contact options that are available for you at the moment under "Step 2: Choose a contact method".

 

You will get the live chat option if you choose USA or Canada as your country. But as I said earlier, I'd highly recommend to contact our Game Advisors by phone. Our phone numbers are different depending on your country of origin. So please make sure that you choose the correct country.

To make sure you redeem your code correctly, please try one of the following flows that best fits your needs.* 

*These only apply if your Origin account is the same as The Sims 3 account used on www.ts3.com.

1.  Did you buy the game in Origin?

If you bought the game in Origin, Origin will auto-register your game (meaning you won't have to enter your code to register).  You will then need to get your items from The Sims 3 website. Be sure to log in with your account here.  

2.  Did you buy your game elsewhere but would like to register in Origin? 

Once you register your game in Origin, be sure to go to The Sims 3 website to get your item.Get your item here. You won't need to re-register your game at this point. 
 
3. Did you redeem or register your code on The Sims 3 website?

If you redeemed/registered your code via the website, you will be prompted to download/view your items. You can also go to the Origin client right after. Simply log in and your games section will be updated.

  • If they are already logged in to Origin, be sure to log out, close, and relaunch the Origin client. Once you log back in, your game should appear for download.

Please Note: The registration items are tied to your registration code (20 digit code)found on the legal pamphlet (if you have the box) or in an email if you bought the game online.
