I lost my serial code

Hi!

I have a Sims 3 game from awhile ago and wanted to play it again on my new computer, but I don't have the case with the serial code, what are the steps I can take WITHOUT the code to download the game? I'm hitting dead end after dead end and every dead end so far has needed a code. Let me know ASAP, thanks!
