I can't install the Sims 3 seasons

I know there is a an answer on how to install the Sims 3 seasons(because the disc isn't even recognized), but I'm not that techie and I really don't want to mess all of my saved data. Is there anything that I can do to install the Sims 3 seasons that's easier than the other explanation?

The easiest way is to register your game on The Sims 3 Website and then download it in your Origin client.

do you need to doawnload origin

if you want/need to digital download then yes you need to downloa origin ( your orign account if you get one and the sims 3 account use the same emaill and password )
