I can log into origin but not Sims 3 game or site

So I recently had to change my password for origin, however since then I have been unable to log into the Sims 3 game launcher or the Sims 3 store, using ether my new or old password nothing works.

Did you use at least one of the following in your password

• lower caps letter
• upper caps letter
• number
• special character

Seems this is necessary now if you change your password.

If not, change your password on Origin again and then try logging in.

Also clear your browser cache.

in the sims 3 folder electronics atrt/thesims/downloads folder is a file with the email you use it may be the old information is still in that file delete it and try again

I found the folder and deteled it but it had no effect.

When you try to log in at the Sims website, I assume it's telling you that your password is incorrect? What happens if you try the "forgot password" while trying to log in at the Sims 3 website? And (just wanting to make sure) you are using exactly the same email address and password for Origin and the Sims 3?

If I try the "I forgot my password" link it send me to my origin dashboard. Yes exactly the same.

I didn't have a specail charatcer, I've changed it now to include it was awell as everything else and it works! Thank you very much

I am having the same problem with my passwords and what I dont understand is I have

- an uppercase letter

- an lowercase letter

- special characters

- and numbers

BUT my password still doesnt work -.- and every time it sends me to origin to change my password when I click the 'forgot my password' option I just log into my origin account with my information. GRRRRR.

Are you trying to change your password on Origin ?

After several calls and various attempts with EA tech support, I think I've resolved the issue (clearing cache, resetting files).  The Sims3 and all expansions have to be fully uninstalled and unregistered from your machine.  I used a cleaner program to ensure everything was fully removed, basically a clean uninstall tool and went through every individual expansion one-by-one instead of relying on the origin launcher to uninstall it.  I, then installed the first game via the launcher and it allowed me to log in.  Will give update after reinstalling all expansions.  Cheerio!
