Can't delete walls that I build in I'm my sim house (sims 3)

Does do anything when I try to delete a wall. I can build walls but after I can't delete them. Nor can I drag and expand the room. I have never had this problem before. It doesn't seem like anyone one eles is.

@Cozzie37  The easiest way to start troubleshooting is by deleting the five cache files in your TS3 game folder in Documents.  For reference, they are:

• CASPartCache.package
• compositorCache.package
• scriptCache.package
• simCompositorCache.package
• socialCache.package

If this doesn't help, a little more information would go a long way.  Is this true only on one lot, on all lots in one save, or across all saves?  Is the problem still present if you start a brand-new save?  Also, do you use any mods?  And is this a lot that you built yourself, or one you downloaded, either as a standalone item or part of a world?
