I still have not been reimbursed the 'yes guy' .... EA tech gave me 20 donuts compensation and said he was having difficulty adding it back to my game ..... I have transcript of the conversation ... check my user ID kazzbot for the history ... spent two long days in and out of chat, email etc etc trying to get this sorted .... was a result of game crashing and case was sent to specialists where they did a 'save restore' restoring to a previous point, hence losing premium items and other things purchased in the days before the crash ..... he was able to replace two of the premium but not the 'yes guy' .... 20 donuts is an ok compensation, but the character cost me 100, so I still would like this reimbursed. Can someone email me and from an actual address I can reply to them? I would like this finalised ASAP, I have spent tons of real money on this app but will refrain from financially supporting until this issue is 100% resolved ...

@kazzbot sorry you are going through all this. They should of just replaced the missing items. There is another thread on here about other players missing buildings, characters, and other items. I guess this all started for them after the update. You are more then welcome post on that thread as well. The development team does read the boards from time to time. Especially when there is a major glitch as this one. 

 

@marczimm_a both forums are monitored from time to time by the development team. Not just one.

We are just players helping players. You will need to go back to the ticket that you have filed with EA. Unfortunately, no one here on this forum can replace items, go into accounts, or look into these matters. 

 

Go to http://help.ea.com/
Log in with your Origin ID
Click on help with a game
Click on the Simpson's Tapped Out logo
Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on contact us
Select your appropriate platform
Click next on bottom right
Select a topic
Tell us a little more: Simpson's Tapped Out
Click next

You will then have the option for Answer HQ, Live Chat or Email or a Call Me Option!

If you see live chat and want to wait, click it.

If you want to send an email, click that one.

If you want a call back, choose that one and enter a phone number for them to call you back!

NOT EVERY OPTION IS AVAILABLE! DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION AND TIME DAY, WILL DEPEND ON YOUR OPTIONS!!

You should have refused the 20 donuts and tell him you want the character. Ask him to escalate the issue to a more senior advisor or tech expert, as they can ALWAYS put the character back into your game. It's just that this guy didn't know what he was doing. Contact EA again and tell them the whole story and thell them you are not satifsfied until you get the character back. If they feel happy to give you donuts on top of returning the character, that should be a fair recompensation for your efforts

Did he actually send you here (answers.ea.com) or the other support forum (forum.ea.com)? Confusingly, EA hosts two similar places to communicate. As far as I am led to believe, though, only one of them is really monitored by the department working on the game.

I was going into chats for two days, i kept getting cut off when an advisor didn't know what to do and was passed around from specialist to specialist, by the end I was tired and frustrated .... they kept closing the claims as resolved when clearly it wasn't .... I am still persisting, but I had real life things to do, couldn't sit at the laptop all day trying to get a win with them

he sent me links to both .... I am just posting in both hoping they see it if they ever really look ..... I'm in Australia so when I contact them I get the Indian call centre, our phone companies etc are outsourced to India too and I have similar problems getting anywhere with those people .... my inbox email is full of messages from them saying issue resolved ....
