Another player with loss of Wild West event progress, and event starting over. Waiting three days for response from EA help. Was about to get last two prizes in act two, then all deputy badges gone. Poorly coordinated response from EA. Initial phone support said my case would be escalated to a specialist due to many problems with the Wild West event. Specialist asked for all the same information already provided. Did not mention any know issues, asked if restoring lost badges would be OK, now silent for three days.
Just adding a post mostly out of frustration.

you need to keep the case open, if they dont here from you in three days or a week the case will auto close, (they dont have to respond).
it is frustrating since you usually dont get anything back but keep at it. My longest case was +90 days and I kept it open and got maybe 4/5 replies the whole period.
evrey other or third day, drop them a line. "Any news" whats the progress"
