Iv been in cotact with a few helpdesks and if the app still freezes/shutsdown after clearing cash-memory and if also other apps from the playstore from EA-games freezes/shutsdown then your device may have an issue between Android 9 and EA-games. A fix is on the way, i cant wait to play TSTO again

If you open the game, since yesterday, you should get asked to download an update. Could you try to download this update in your devices and let us know if you notice any changes? Does the game freeze and close before you get the chance to do it?
