My game has changed into Chinese language

@johnnienolan To change the language do this:
Log in to the game and once in town ...
- Click on the shop icon (hammer and saw)
- Click on the gear you see at the top right of the shop window (under the HELP button)
- In the new pop-up, LANGUAGES is the last selection below; click on it
- English language should be second on the list; the first choice is "Use Device Language"

@johnnienolan - it should install / run using your device settings so if your phone etc is in English the game is in English.
Assuming you're not playing as Anonymous and have linked your game to your EA account I'd think about uninstalling and reinstalling if you check your device region, language and timezone settings etc and can't see anything odd happening there ( someone switched a friends phone to German once. Not knowing the language trying to remember what menu was where to put that back was a pain and all because someone got drunk and thought it would be funny !! )

While Google Translate doesn't always get it right this might help you recognise the Chinese for English . . .

There's no need to do this!

As you can see from the image below, each language is written in its own language

I remember one tablet I had that was in English unless you needed the reset menus and that was all Chinese - great fun !!
Better go get some more coffee 🤪

@1-Graham-S Yes, it happened to me too, especially with the recovery menus in Chinese of some Android devices
