Land can only be purchased with a token problem

Why cant i simply buy the new land to the right after Bart Royale update. Very,very annoying!

Everybody's in the same boat.  Nobody knew this was coming.

This may be a mistake and they'll change it with the next update.  Or not.  Maybe this is the new paradigm: all future land expansions must be bought with tokens.  Who knows?  They're always changing things.

They gave us 42 new land pieces and only give out 6 tokens per event.. Real good math there. If they wont give us enough land to build the event items on, then why bother playing?!! I've spent too much money on this game over the years. If there's no room to place anything on the map, I guess I'll just spend my money elsewhere, considering there's no room for them the building they want to charge us for...

This fits right in line with the socialistic thinking that permeates EA and the way they control you in this “game”. It’s all about punishing success and rewarding those who don’t put effort into the game. I, too, have spent a lot of money on this game and find my efforts to advance the game continually thwarted by the boundaries and limitations placed upon my success. The land purchase is only one example of that communistic mentality. My cash account is currently sitting at $1.4 Billion and I’m not allowed to purchase a single inch of new land for expansion.

And the worst part about this was that I needed twice as much land to salvage my Krustyland as was given to us by EA. Consequently, I had to archived several of my properties in order to shoehorn my Krustyland into the main game. This really screwed up a lot of my designs.

If they are approaching this from the perspective that most handheld devices cannot support expanding the game, then they need to put Krustyland back into its own sign-in page in order to free up the land for other uses.

I’ve been playing this game for many years and have always been able to buy land expansions with in-game currency until recently, when all of a sudden they decided that we had to earn Free Land Tokens! Why? They have made it so difficult to get extra land, which we need, as they only give us the chance of earning the Free Land Tokens in an event and then only give us a few! This is extremely unfair to those of us who have been playing the game for a long time and have to store lots of buildings, decorations etc because we don’t have the land to put them on, and it’s also extremely unfair to those new players who are trying to expand their lands to put buildings on to earn in-game currency to buy other buildings etc. This is not right and is not fair at all!

I'm sure EA had a reason for implementing this. Maybe the servers can't handle all the land? I do not know but it was important to them, not to torture us. I wish we could still buy the land as well. I am very OCD  about keeping my town even with the land, now my town juts out all over the place. I'd be glad that they give us any new land at all because for a long time they didn't.  Of course, EA had a reason! Do you really think they just did this adhoc?  Lol

 The real issue is we don’t know why they did it and they aren’t saying (like usual). We can only speculate as to why. Even though the new land lots are clearly available, they clearly don’t want us using them.  Otherwise, they would open the floodgates and let us simply buy them, as before.

 The real question is, why do they refuse to allow that? I seriously doubt that it’s a server issue or else they wouldn’t make the land available in the first place. Also, the last two scenarios have included large solid blocks of land specifically dedicated to that scenario; which are located in really odd places in the upper right corner of the game. 

But I will tell you this, it’s obvious that their motivation is basic socialism which always results in control and restriction of success.

This is my biggest criticism of the game. You’re totally right. Long time players who need access to those land slots are being punished. The annoying thing is they’re not even available as donut purchases.
