How do I get help to fix a bug. Game will not let me click on releasing characters from Simpson house for latest task

Choose a character stuck in the loop and free him.
HOW?
Putting, always momentarily, the building or decoration connected to it. For example, to free Bart you have to inventory the tree with the house, for Moe and Marge his tavern , KEM for APU, etc... many characters are linked to a building they came out of; putting that building in the inventory, you would automatically archive the weighing too, freeing it from the loop and breaking the chain.
