Game stuck at bonus donut screen

Hello,

My Simpsons game appears to have become stuck.  I was promoted to the highest current level after adding the new Squidport Sign.  Adding the sign triggered the "highest level achieved" message dialog and displayed the bonus donuts selection dialog.  Simultaneously I believe the game forcefully highlighted the crossed arrows building/object placement icon to indicate that I should press it to proceed.  Both dialogs are being displayed simultaneously but pressing either has no effect.  All other icons are non-responsive.  I have a screenshot of the issue if necessary.  I have tried logging out of my origin account as well as reinstalling the app with the same result.  Any help would be appreciated.
