Game Sounds Ruined since Winter Update

When the winter update/event came through it ruined the sound. I have a persistent (and highly annoying) sound of the xp collider constantly running. It is VERY loud and forces me to turn off all sound to the game. I play my game with sounds "on" because the game is set up to be played that way.

Players on reddit are experiencing the same issue. When can we expect a fix to this please?

For me anyways, it seems to occur when too much collecting from buildings/tasks is done at once OR when you collect event currency and don't scroll off screen right away. I have left it running a couple times when I wasn't fast enough and it does eventually timeout (5+ minutes). Event currency collection pretty much guarantees it will happen.

A temp workaround is to stagger collecting from characters with event tasks and characters with cash. For example on a four hour cycle, I set event currency tasks first, then give myself about 10-15 minutes for sending the rest of characters on task. When returning I collect from the library and Moe's first and scroll away quickly (I mean fast and before the sounds start - tap and run. Not 100% for everyone but works the majority of the time for me if I'm fast enough). After all event tasks are done, I take care of the regular tasks with a time gap (tend to clear my town of pagans in between and do trade ins).

EA is not here, only other players.

Developers of this game does not frequent this Help Forum, so they're not likely to see your suggestion here.
