Still no fix... after two chats today. I was first told that this issue has been fixed, though still have the issue... after being told by EA that it is an understood email issue, I changed email account to AGAIN, to still no avail. Was then told since they cannot replicate the issue, nor do others have repeat issues after fix (though they did not say what the fix was for others) it simply gets filed as an issue to look at. No help to me, and no way around it. EA was insistent that it was an email issue and the domain (gmail) was the problem... I am destroyed knowing I will not be able to access my game again, and will be depressed at all the new content and great things people create here.... I just give up..

@406stev3n420 I honestly know that feeling, but don’t give up hope , we just have to keep plugging away & either we drop onto an advisor who is willing to swap towns or there’s an actual fix , at least give player’s choice of email code or password? It seems pretty simple to me but then I know nothing about programming

I dont understand why either. It seems simple to go back and see when the issue arose, and that something in THAT code caused the issue. I noticed it in the switch to Act 2 of the Enlightenment update.  Haven't been able to get on since.

 

I want them to be on the same page, different person, different answer every time. And I have to re explain the issue every time. I would assume it would be linked to my account so they can see prior issues I have had. Just need to keep everything copied and paste it each time in I guess ha

@Bafanc EEA told me today it was an email issue. Are the help people just not kept in the loop? Are things really that disconnected with EA?

@406stev3n420 It seems so yes they have a script they go through and it does become repetitive, try to hang in there & I hope we will be back on soon 🤞 …. I’m noting the advisors name each time, so if I do get lucky then I can at least share that much information with you guys !

@406stev3n420 I don't think what the operator said is true, which does not mean that he lied .. maybe he really thought so! Proof that I'm right is easy to do .. create a new profile and use one of the emails that don't work with the old one and see what happens ... magic happens, everything works and GMAIL or your email is no longer a problem !
I can tell you with confidence that to date, the only things that have worked are the ones that have been done by some smart operators, who have made the user create a new profile and then have transferred the city from the old to the new. They are good because they helped .. but not too good, because they didn't find the problem either, but just how to get around it! BUT THEY HAVE DONE SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM TELLING FABLES!

@406stev3n420 I forgot to tell you that we are users like you .. we are not around, at least not more than you! What I know is because I have two groups on Facebook and with my users we do a lot of tests on every problem in the game .. so I know many solutions and I ignore others!

So today I tried Twitter EA Help , I sent them a direct message and I spent all day being very patient and repeating all the standard things they suggest , just because it was my very first communication that way, to be told albeit took a hell of a lot longer that they couldn’t resolve my issue , the suggestion of swapping the town was brushed aside as they said that wouldn’t help ? 😭😔 and again proving it isn’t an email issue

Also Jen the adviser there did say my case hadn’t even been escalated until she just did it ! Wtf when I’ve been told that every single time, they end with we will escalate this to the specialist team ?!? How on earth had this not been done until now!?!

@jodevine43 That’s your way in. As I’ve previously mentioned I had continuously asked for an update or a fix that had been given to others. I was constantly given the same answer over and over again. It reached a point where chats were terminated and I was blocked on Twitter. I raised an Official Complaint stating that failing to fix the issue, provide an official acknowledgement of the error or give a timescale of a fix was a breach of my consumer rights. I didn’t receive anything quite a while. I then received contact and it was fixed the next day.
