Well you guys, i can't take it anymore. I'm going to uninstall the simpson tapped out. I tried to be patient but I've lost it.  I personally talked to an ea specialist about the problem again and they told me to they value me as a loyal player and understand my issue. They also told me that they have received a lot of complaints about the issue and they was going to do something about it. Just give them a few days and the problem will be solved. That was Saturday and now it's Tuesday. I just come to the conclusion that they are stringing us along. I feel like they are not doing anything to resolve the issue and i've just lost all my patients. If they come up with a better solution or fix it please let me know. Maybe when i get my tablet i will put my game on it. I appreciate all of you and i hope that the game does come back. Let me know. Once again i will be uninstalling the game. I personally can't continue to keep a game that i can't play. Love you all, thank you for being there and helping me through it. I hope i did the same for you

Ok, there is a fix, I have received confirmation from EA help on Twitter.

 

I asked whether support can view my current progress in the game, what I have earned in game including items, donuts, dollars, how it is constructed etc. 
the reply was “ Yep, we’d be able to see all the content on your account”

 

My next question was “Is it possible for me to create a new account that it tested to check codes are received and then all my content is transferred to that.”

 

The reply was “we wouldn’t be able to transfer to a other account unfortunately. Wait for a fix”

 

The conversation went on and I enquired “So my request is not possible or won’t be attempted”

 

Reply- “I’m afraid not as we need to let the game team resolve the issue on their end first. Once the issue is resolved by them, if you still can’t access your account, at that point WE COULD POTENTIALLY LOOK AT TRANSFERRING THE DATA TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT”

 

I then requested that it be referred to a higher authority for a transfer as I was tired of waiting with no communication etc. 

And then comes the point where no further replies are received to any of my questions. How rude and ignorant. Shocking customer service. 

So there we have it. There is a fix but they will not do it. When I said I smell a big stinky rat, I was 100% correct.

I have all this as screen shots as evidence.

So Wednesday tried again the chat went like this :

The issue with the verification code not coming through to my email still for TSTO …. The last log on was 29th May my first report about this issue was two days later, I was told the team are aware of an issue affecting many players just the same! Yet it is now July and still no fix releases can you tell me when this actually will be fixed???? Or are the team STILL working diligently 😂 ( couldn’t help myself but laugh) 
the adviser says our team is aware and working on this so I ask how much longer?

May 29 th until????  When , there is a whole thread of players who need to have the answer! Go check out the forum!!! EA haven’t done anything to fix this in 8 weeks , updates can be rolled back…. Do you understand that we know this?!???!

they stated they would have fix soon??!

Soon …. Can you clarify how long soon is to you?! Days weeks more months

adviser says watch social media for updates, my response is to make them aware I do watch it , just a real shame the game developers don’t!

I just got off the phone with tech support and they were able to (and did) transfer my original account (that wasn’t getting the verification code) to a new one I created with them on the phone.

I’d suggest using the phone call option instead of twitter, etc.

NOTE: The new account MUST be made through ea.com NOT in the simpson’s game itself. It’s a bit time consuming to prep and setup but the tech person I was talking with was very patient and walked me through the whole process. He was then able to transfer my data to  the new account with NO loss of any data, donuts, etc.

The important thing is I’M BACK PLAYING 👍🏼

NO, while on the phone, the tech had me make a new account on ea.com. Then (after he  confirmed my new and old account belonged to me) he had me log in to simpson's using the new account and complete the initial first few tasks (houses, etc). at that point he asked for a badge that showed up in the friends section. from there he had me log out of the game and transferred my account data from my original game/account into the new one I created with him.

It is a fairly long process but the end result is I am back into my game as it was 4 weeks ago
