Cannot Connect to Server

For the best part of 24hrs I have been tryng to open my game, but it keeps telling me I cannot connect to server and is continually checking for updates. I have switched my phone off and on several times, but it has had no effect. Is this a problem with the Server? Are other people having this problem or is it just my phone/app? If it is a server issue is there any approximaton as to when it will be working again?

I've been playing Tapped Out since Aug & I go thru this off & on do many times. Terrible server connection issues. A ton of users are having these problems. EA I think is overwhelmed bc their not responding to any one or help their customers. I've been down since Sept 25th & have had zero response from EA. Same exact problem, "can not connect to server.!" It's not you or anyone, honestly it's EA server.
