Can't log in to origin account on simpsons tapped out

Yup seems like it. Its been a good run I have to say. I started playing like 2015 or something, basically fourth grade, and the game has been with me ever since. I know it aint much but I was around lvl 100+. Still, pretty sad to not have this game in my portfolio of mobile games

This is a really old post.

For the current issue, many people have had luck by uninstalling and reinstalling the game (DO NOT DO if you are anonymous)

Some have had to change their password on Origin.

I have just changed my password twice & I STILL can't log in....I would rather leave the game for good because I really don't want to start over. Too much time, energy, & money has been spent. I hope I can find a solution.

Try changing your password to be less than 16 characters with only letters and numbers

This has been a problem lately. I've had to deal with it as well.

A. Make sure your password is less than 16 characters long and does not have any special characters - just letters and numbers.

B. This worked for me:

• Open the App Manager by double tapping the Home Button (Apple) or tapping the rectangle (Android).
• Swipe away all open apps (people call this force closing, but that is not correct, this is just closing the apps)
• Turn off your device. OFF. Do not restart.
• If you're using home internet to connect, turn off your home internet devices.
• Wait 1 minute.
• Turn your home internet devices back on (if applicable) and wait for them to connect.
• Turn on your device.
• Try playing.

C. If the above doesn't work:

• Open the App Manager by double tapping the Home Button (Apple) or tapping the rectangle (Android).
• Swipe away all open apps.
• Uninstall the game.
• Turn off your device. OFF. Do not restart.
• If you're using home internet to connect, turn off your home internet devices.
• Wait 1 minute.
• Turn your home internet devices back on (if applicable) and wait for them to connect.
• Turn on your device.
• Install the game.
• Start the game but DO NOT TRY TO PLAY
• Enter your age and agree to the license.
• DO NOT LOG IN AT THIS POINT. Wait for ALL the files to download. When ALL the files have downloaded THEN log in.

See if that works.

What worked for me:

1- Update the operative system of my iPad

2- Uninstall the app and re-install it

3- Change my password to a shorter one 

4- Wait to log in till all the files have downloaded

For people who didn't know how to log in yet here's the way on how to do it!

this method actually works in 2020 people!

What worked for me:

1- Check if ur password is 16 characters or shorter (if not change your password to something shorter!)

2- Uninstall the app and re-install it

3- Wait to log in till all the files have downloaded!

4- Have fun with your account signed into your game!

These people were completely unhelpful.  They just pointed me at the help article and told me to "contact us later if you are still having the issue."
