Signatures

Adding a signature is reserved for Hero's Community Managers and Champions. Having a signature on your post adds another nice touch just like having a Profile Card does. You can add HTML and have a more complex one like i do, photoshop yourself an image and add it there or just use plain text. If you want to use HTML in your signature, simply use the HTML tab on the post window when making a reply, copy it and enter it into your signature tab in settings.

Here is how to add a signature to your posts.

  1. Navigate to your profile from the tab at the top, and click the "HQ Settings" link and go to Personal Information. You can also use this link to jump right to that page.

2.  Go crazy and add your signature in the settings panel.  It can take a while to get one you like, but once you make one you like save it and it will appear on all your previous and future posts automatically.

Tagging users in posts is a feature that is very helpful.

How you do it put just an "@" and type the username after it. It will appear like this: @MorningTimeCloud

How to @Tag a user on Answer HQ.

  1. Simply put an @ and their username after it. Like this in the screenshot. *** Note that this will only work in the Rich Text tab, if you use the HTML by default it won't.

2.   The user you @ tagged will recieve an email for the email linked to their EA/Origin/Answer HQ account like this below.

Subscribing

[ Edited ]

Subscribing to a thread can be useful so you know if someone has replied to it if you wish to help them or other people who post in that thread after replying. You can subscribe to a thread or a full forum section. Below are instructions on how to do so. You will receive an email saying someone has replied to that thread you have subscribed to.

How to subscribe to a thread

  1. Click "Topic Options" at the top of a thread and you will see Subscribe at the bottom, click that and you're done! Do the same steps to unsubscribe.

How to subscribe to a forum section

  1. Click options at the top of the forum section and click subscribe, same method to unsubscribe from that section.

How to manage all your subscriptions.

As in post #2 explained, go over ">Your username<" > "Settings" > "Subscriptions & Notifications" or use this link.

Adding an avatar is available to Champions and above. It adds a nice touch like other features to your posts. You can use an image from another website, or upload one. You can also change the default ones.

Here is how to add Macros to your posts.

  1. Navigate to this page in your settings or click your username at the top (like in post #2), and click "Settings" and then click "Macros".

Quick Reply

[ Edited ]

Quick Reply is a simple but useful feature if you want to simply quickly reply to a post not needing to use any HTML or Macros. I myself use it often and it comes in handy a lot of times.

Here is how to enable Quick Reply

Go to your "Preferences" in your settings, click "Display" (or use this link) and enable Quick reply.
