Sir, you are not understanding the problem. The problem is not a laggy or choppy connection. The problem is that the connection is not even starting. The problem I'm facing is that when me and my friend try connecting through wired internet, we are not even able to proceed to team selection. But when we connect through mobile hotspot, the connection works perfectly. Why is online friendlies not connecting on wifi/ wired internet that is the problem.

This could also be related to you or your friend's NAT. I'd like both of you to check the NAT setting on your consoles and let me know what it says. Thank you.

@EA_AljoAlso, we were playing online friendlies just a couple months ago. The problem is only 2 3 months old. Both our connections are Nat type 2

Has it been a while since both of you power cycled your equipment? If so, try doing it now with these steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

Thanks for trying. Next, both of you should try using alternate DNS settings. Those instructions are here. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.

Can you both check your router settings to find out what the IPv of your connection is? You both should be on IPv4. If one of you is on IPv6, it can prevent being able to connect to each other.
