when I try to log on to ea in squadrons, keyboard mapping is broken

★★★ Newbie

Hi There,

I have a new PC (Lenovo Legion5 laptop, Windows 10 64bit), installed Star Wars Squadrons as first application via Steam.

Now when I start it, I have to login to EA to connect the steam and EA accounts.

However, when I try to enter my e-Mail address, some letters don't work or work strangely:

- z seems to scroll back in the history of what I enter

- a seems to jump to the beginning of the line and select all text (but only after the second char)

- x does not work at all

- c does not work at all

- pressing v enters an a

keyboard layout is German. Outside the login form keyboard works perfectly fine

Hi,

I've moved your topic to SW Squadrons section.

Entering the @ locks the CTRL key. Just press CTRL once afterwards and keys should work normally again

The AltGr key, that is needed for many european keyboards to get the @ doesn't exist on US keyboards (@ is Shift+2 there), so I suppose that's why it would go unnoticed during development. At least that's the only way I can explain it, just guessing really.
