I can only guess at the reasons why.
lets try to look at different possibilities.
day one: You did something in violation with the ToS and were reported.
day two: repeated said behavior and were reported.
day three: report from day one was reviewed and suspension was handed out.
day four: Report from day two was reviewed and suspension was turned into a ban.
Another is that you did something only once and after initial review it was classed as a suspension but maybe there was a further review and it was then classed to be worthy of a Ban.
These are only my guesses as to why this may have happened.
If you feel the Ban/suspension is unjust/unwarranted you can contact the ToS team via EA help and submit a ticket to have you case reviewed.
