Hi,
I've been getting a 208 trying to download the game client for almost 24 hours now.
2019-10-03 14:58:37 INFO Download: http://manifest.swtor.com/patch/patcher2017.patchmanifest (159.153.92.50 )

Followed through the checklist - flushed DNS cache, forwarded ports on my router, rebooted it, disabled firewall, rebooted my PC, tried to repair the launcher, reset hosts file - nothing helped.
Tracert to the address from the log shows this:

Ping to the same address doesn't go through, obviously.
I'm unable to try out a different routing, since my ISP only provides static IP address. Is there any way to circumvent the problematic hop? Perhaps i could hardcode some different IP addresses for your servers in hosts file, or something like that? What would you advise?
I'm located in Eastern Europe, my SWTOR account is on EU servers, if it matters.

Issues like this can be anywhere from hours to days, very rare to last pass a week.

The host file is useless in this situation there is only one IP address for manifest.swtor.com and this also is not a DNS issue as the launcher resolved the IP address correctly.
My thoughts are either your ISP gives you a static IP address in a different Class range or you use a VPN, if the VPN resolves the issue it confirms it is likely a router table has dropped a route, this can be anywhere between you and them and as mentioned on reddit on the forward or return path, a tracert doesn't show the return path at all.

Tried a free VPN, was able to log in, exited VPN as soon as the download started. Seems to work fine.
Issue resolved, i can only hope that it'll fix itself sometime later so i don't have to do this every time.
