"x" through sound icon in lobby

I haven't been able to find ANY information about this at all, whenever I do a google search it leads me to a Windows issue and not an Apex Legends issue.  I am playing on Steam, I made the switch because I was having major performance issues on Origin but have been fine since on Steam.  Only recently have I seen this.  It makes it to where I am unable to hear anybody in the lobby, but in-game I can hear them just fine.  I'm not for sure what the issue is on this and if there's a simple fix to change it.

Hey @Rallient01  make sure that correct Speaker and mic in Windows is set as default device.

@EA_Atic I just checked and both of them are set to default.  This is also in the Steam version of the game as well instead of Origin.  It just makes it to where I cannot hear my party in the lobby but only can hear them in the game.
