"this kick was sponsored by ea's netcode" - Hackers?

So today I was kicked from a game (for the first time since launch I might add), by what I can only presume were hackers. I presume this because what greeted me when I made it back to the lobby was the message:

"This kick was sponsored by ea's netcode"

"It's in the game"
"Fix your **** EA"

This happened after we wiped a squad, but I would guess it's unrelated.

Have things got so bad that hackers can now claim admin rights over a server and kick people at will? Or am I missing something? Thoughts?

I have absolutely no idea whether that's hackers or not, but for the past two days randomly every third game or so on average I've been getting horrific lag/straight up getting D/C'd. Sometimes it happens three or four games in a row, other times I go ten games without an issue.

Started 2-3 days ago.
