pvz battle for neighborville won't open

i bought plants vs zombies Battle for Neighborville and when i lanch the game the lancher apper and then black window of the game open for a 3 seconds and then coloses with no information what so ever. i have the recommended specs to run the game and all my drivers are up to date and i don't know what to do plz help me (i tried clering cash and reinstall the game)

Hi, When I launch the game, it shows the game banner and then the program runs in a small black window and in 2 seconds it crashes. I tried many fixes from your forums such as looking for windows update (It is updated), checking drivers updates (Updated too), Repair game in the origin library, reinstalling Origin app and the game multiple times, and clering chash and a bunch of other stuff . I noticed from one site that I don't have settings folder in my game directory (In documents\PVZ Battle for Neighborville\ )

Same issue here. Purchsed the game this morning for my son. Re-installed it already twice, but will shut down again every time, after starting up.

@SkorpTheDopE There are several other threads about this. Usually it is because you are using a Windows account containing a non-ascii character in the account name. For unknown reasons, PVZBFN does not handle that and they don't seem to bother fixing that. Create a new user account on your computer with only a-z characters in the name and play using that.

Can you try these steps?

1. Disable the Origin in-game Overlay in the Origin Launcher, and the Game Properties in your Library

2. Clear Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

3. Run Origin and Battle for Neighborville as Administrator

4. Uninstall/Reinstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/

5. Clean Boot: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
