no download progress while in game

I am playing a starter toon and I get a message that I can not play past starter until the game is completely downloaded. No progress is showing and I don't want to spend the next 60 days playing starter toons. Please advise further.

Check this service is running then try a game repair see if that kicks things along.

ensure you have the launcher.exe and swtor.exe in the antivirus and firewall exception lists too
