multiplayer is disabled somehow on PS4

I was able to play battlefield multiplayer after downloading recent update on the PS4 pro. But somehow I am unable to select the multiplayer section now. I can only play offline now. There is no issue with internet connection. Do I have to purchase PS plus membership to play online multiplayer? Please Help.

@maniyomastikhor Yes, you need an active Playstation Plus membership in order to play online. You could try another game as a test. 

If you have an active membership you can double check that you have enough free storage space, then try restarting your system from the power menu. Once it starts back up, check for updates for the game again. Perhaps something went wrong with the update, this would prevent you from playing online as you'd have an older version of the game than was active on the servers.
